Maize in the City Celebrates 26th Season as One of Colorado's Longest-Running Fall Festivals

Family and farmer-owned corn maze marks a quarter-century in Thornton ahead of its 2026 opening

25 years in, we're still a family and farmer-owned operation, and that hasn't changed since 2001. Every season we get to watch new families make the same kind of memories ours did when we started this”
— Cristina Palombo, General Manager, Maize in the City

THORNTON, CO, UNITED STATES, August 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Maize in the City, a family and farmer-owned corn maze and fall festival in Thornton, Colorado, is marking its 25th season, a milestone for one of Colorado's longest-running fall festivals.

Since opening in 2001, Maize in the City has grown into a 20-acre corn maze voted best in Denver, alongside a smaller mini maze built each year for younger visitors, a pumpkin patch, and a petting zoo.

Admission to the festival remains free, with a range of optional paid activities priced between $5 and $20 per person, a model the festival has kept in place across its 26 years.

The milestone season arrives the same year the festival's sister attraction, Haunted Field of Screams, celebrates its own 26th season on the same Thornton property.
